A few days away from England to rest, relax, explore and reconnect.

It’s always a joy to head towards sunshine, blue skies and a new place so we decided on Nerja, Costa del Sol, a southern area I’m yet to visit.

Beautiful coastline with so many sandy beaches, areas of coast not dissimilar to the Cornish villages we know very, very well.

The light morning rain has brought lots of flowers into bloom, the warm sun and humidity are a great combination for the plant life.

The palm trees along the concourse to the Balcon de Europe are full of little green parakeets squawking away, lively, charming and colourful.

A couple of days remain and I’m grateful to have had a few days of sunshine as yesterday and today have been grey, cloudy and rather wet!

Right, off to another coastal path walk, perhaps via a tasty sangria or two.
