What a remarkable day. Rammed with so much to do, meetings, updates and a covid vaccine! I was glad to head home tonight, there seemed to be a never ending stream of emails and lists today. In honesty, I would have liked to stop a while tonight and not go out again in the pouring rain, but out again it was. A very dear work colleague gave me such a joyous lift tonight. As I was sitting waiting in the car while my daughter was at her dance class, my phone pinged with a string of beautiful flowers. ‘Seaside fauna’, she wrote, while a multitude of vibrant blooms brightened up a wet drizzly evening. How many times over the months have I mentioned how uplifting colour and flowers are? A not so great moment can be utterly transformed as you are transported to the humid heat of the beautiful island of Trinidad. The humidity and sunshine ensures an abundance of year long colour. Sharing flora and fauna across the globe keeps us all inspired, in contact and able to share each other’s joys. I love seeing gardening update pictures from family across the world, being together while so many miles apart. Here you can see hibiscus, Entada and lastly, Allamanda, Golden Trumpet. If you have a wet and very wild evening out there tonight, I hope the colourful flowers my friend messaged over, shared now by me with all of you, lift your spirits to a place of warmth and sunshine. We can but dream.
